COVID-19 & What Can Be Done

Hello, all.

We're all stuck at home, and I, at least, am feeling pretty dismal, sluggish, and unproductive. So here's 5 feel-good activities you can do, safely, to help your community through this epidemic, courtesy of your newly appointed SPAC.

If you can sew, make masks. The organization Make Masks 2020 has made over 21,000+ masks for essential workers, but there's always demand for more. Make some masks for essential workers, as well as you and your family!!! you can find their page here: https://www.makemasks2020.org/

Consider donating blood. If you do NOT have COVID-19 or any COVID-19 like symptoms, the red cross and other organizations DESPERATELY need blood for important medical work. Find a blood drive near you at: https://www.redcross.org/give-blood.html

Consider donating to a food bank. Those who already live below the poverty line and can't afford to eat normally are having an especially hard time just trying to survive. Learn more here https://www.feedingamerica.org/take-action/coronavirus

Consider donating to the CDC foundation to help fund research efforts and to create a cushion in case something like this happens again. Donate here: https://www.cdcfoundation.org/give/ways-to-give

Lastly, check in with your friends that you haven't talked to in a while. Make sure everyone in your life is okay! Build and rebuild bridges of love and support for your community!

Sincerely,
